JTOV: Jewish Teens Of the Valley is a collective of Upper Pioneer Valley teens from Beit Ahavah, Congregation B'nai Israel, Jewish Community of Amherst, Temple Israel of Greenfield and unaffiliated teens. JTOV hosts the monthly Rosh Hodesh groups, as well as other regional events, such as the Gleaning Project & Dreidel Dance. By adding your name to the mailing list, you will be sure to hear about upcoming events!

Rosh Hodesh: it’s a girl thing! is a fun, interactive program for Jewish girls that uses creative activities such art, drama, small discussions and creative movement to make Judaism more “real” and relevant for you. Girls meet once a month to talk, be heard, think, discover, eat, listen, create—and hang out with other Jewish girls their age. (Parents are not allowed at regular meetings!)  Rosh Hodesh is sponsored by JTOV and will  will have two groups for 2011-12 led by our fabulous faciliators: Amy Epstein for 7/8th grade & Becky Lederman for 9/10th grade.

JVCorps: Jewish Volunteer Corps for Teens allows teens to volunteer at the Amherst Survival Center (once a month on a Thursday) to prepare, serve, and clean-up a meal for the visitors. Teens can volunteer as often or infrequent as they are able. Teens can volunteer for the early slot (3:45-5:30pm) or late slot: (5:15-7:00pm). Sessions are chaperoned by a trained Madrich(a) (assistant in 11th or 12th grade) and parent volunteers. Register for this program if you are interested in being able to volunteer during the 2011-12 year. This program is sponsored y the JCA and open to any interested teen (you do not need to be a member of the JCA) in grades 7 and above.  All donations are used to provide food for meals at the Center.

JCAT: Jewish Community of Amherst Teen group hosts monthly programs at the JCA, in the Pioneer Valley, and outside of Western Massachusetts. Past programming has included White Water Rafting, Movie Nights, Overnights, Rosh Hashana Teen Services, Chocolate making, and more! This program is sponsored by the JCA and open to any interested teen in grades 6 and above (you do not need to be a JCA member to join).
